I'm the face and voice behind This Week in Queer History, and I am so glad you're here.
A little about me: I'm 48, I live in LA with my partner Luis and our dog Atty (short for Atticus, gotta love TKAMB). By day I'm a video editor on Bob's Burgers. By night (and weekends and lunch breaks) I'm obsessed with uncovering and sharing the queer history that most of us never learned in school.
I started TWiQH because I kept discovering these incredible stories - moments of courage, creativity, and defiance - and I couldn't believe nobody had told me about them. I wanted to build something that makes our community feel powerful, not just informed.
This Circle community is the next chapter. I want this to be a place where we don't just learn history, we connect over it. Where a 22-year-old who just came out can hear from someone who marched in the '80s. Where we celebrate wins, ask hard questions, and remind each other that we come from a long line of extraordinary people.
So... tell me about YOU! Where are you joining from? What's your connection to queer history? Is there a moment or person from LGBTQ history that changed how you see yourself?
Can't wait to get to know you all. 🏳️🌈
