The Queer Year Book
366 days of queer history, one story at a time.
The Queer Year Book is a daybook of queer history: one entry for every day of the year, including leap day. Each day gives you a story from our history, a meditation to sit with, and a prompt to carry into your day. Watercolor illustrations run throughout.
It grew out of the same belief that drives everything I make: our history is an inheritance. Nobody hands it to us, so we hand it to each other. This book is a year of that, one day at a time.

Sources and Corrections
Every entry in The Queer Year Book was independently fact-checked before release. Queer history deserves that rigor. If you spot something that needs correcting, or you have a question about a source, email dax@thisweekinqueerhistory.com. Any corrections will be posted on this page.

Ways to Get Involved
Ten percent of my author royalties from this book goes to LGBTQ+ organizations and queer artists. You can see exactly where the money goes on the Giving page.
The book is one piece of a bigger project. Every week I tell these stories on the This Week in Queer History YouTube channel, and the weekly newsletter brings queer history straight to your inbox.
